My exit :) My apartment complex is just below the big reddish clay patch -- which, incidentally, is the beginnings of phase two of my apartment complex. My parking deck is the light-topped structure just left-of-center and down, right before the trees start..

Downtown Atlanta: the I-75/I-85 "connector" runs through the center of the picture, left-to-right, and splits at the right (which is North, BTW) The large white-topped building left-of-center is the Georgia Dome, and the tall obelisk-shaped building in the exact center is the former NationsBank building (can't remember the current name...)

A slightly different angle and more zoomed-in version of the previous shot

A better, clearer shot of downtown: the interstates are now much more clearly visible. I-20 is the prominent interstate running across the bottom left portions of the shot, with its nasty intersection with the I-75/I-85 connector. The connector is much more easily followable in this shot as well: it enters the frame at the bottom left, intersects with I-20, circles to the right (east) around downtown Atlanta proper, then cuts right through to continue North to the left of midtown Atlanta before finally splitting in the right-upper-center part of the frame back into I-85 (to the right/east) and I-75. I think this is my favorite shot from this set.

A "due north" shot of the same content as the previous several pictures: north is straight up. You can clearly see the connector split at the upper portion of the frame, with 75 going west/left and 85 going east -- but you can also see Peachtree Road heading due north, immediately after the connector splits.

A close-up of Midtown: Bobby Dodd Stadium is in the lower-center portion of the frame, with the Georgia Tech campus extending "up" to the northwest (north is in the same direction as the interstate). In the extreme upper left portion, you can see the new Atlantic Station development, where there is a new Southtrust office tower, a slew of new condos, and a pile of new retail space slated to be finished sometime next year. My six-story, light-colored office building is in the extreme left-center portion of the frame.

Six Flags Over Georgia, on I-20 west of Atlanta. Note the comparative sprawl of the Scream Machine roller coaster (the white tracks in the extreme lower right) versus the compactness of the newer steel coasters.
