John & Jessica's "What Are We Having" Reveal Dinner
...for those of you not familiar, this is where a pregnant mom has an ultrasound (at around 20 weeks) wherein the ultrasound tech determines the gender of the baby -- but doesn't tell the parents! Instead, the tech writes it down on a slip of paper and encloses it with the "telling" photo in an envelope. The parents then go to a baby store, pick out a boy and girl onesie and go to the checkout, where they instruct the clerk to look in the envelope (after they've walked away) and gift wrap the appropriate onesie. At the big family & friends get-together, the parents open the gift and everyone finds out the gender of the baby together. Nichole and I did this with Audrey so we can attest to how much fun it is!
